Get ready to have a “spectacular” Fourth of July. The Charlotte Knights are partnering with the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra to present Charlotte’s Stars and Stripes Spectacular and WBT Sky Show at Truist Field, all to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary.

“The show will embrace the variety of voices, histories, and traditions that have informed that great American sound over the last 250 years,” Charlotte Symphony Orchestra Music Director Kwame Ryan told CLTtoday. “We’ll have excerpts from Gershwin’s “Porgy and Bess,” jazz, ragtime, and the great American film composer, John Williams.”

There will also be a family-friendly preshow at Romare Bearden Park — details are coming soon. While there won’t be a baseball game that weekend — the Knights play away — this event promises to be an extraordinary celebration.

“It’ll be the largest ever at Truist Field,” Knights Executive Vice President and COO Dan Rajkowski said.

Tickets are on sale now and are expected to go fast. The performances will be July 4, beginning at 7 p.m., followed by the WBT Sky Show.
