Want to spend a night out sipping wine, shopping, and shopping local items from the honeybees of Waverly? Then the Waverly Wine Walk is for you.

There’s plenty of buzz — the event partners with Queen City organizations and nonprofits with ticket sales benefiting the Mecklenburg County Beekeepers Association.

“We picked them because Waverly actually has honeybees on site. So we wanted to create a theme around that.” says KaiLi Freeman, Project Manager at Yellow Duck Marketing. “All the swag bags will have products from the Waverly honeybees including jars of honey, honey candles, honey lip balm, and honey soap.”

Since 1919, the Beekeepers Association has protected and grown the honeybee population across the county — thanks to education and conservation.

Previous Waverly Wine Walk ticket sales benefited Carolina P.A.W.S., raising $1,843 from ticket sales + Humane Society of Charlotte, raising $1,345.

The event will be Thursday, May 16. Tickets are $20 and shoppers receive a swag bag packed with wine pours + specials at the following boutiques:

  • Scout & Molly’s: 20% off
  • fab’rik: 20% off one item + $10 jewelry
  • Urbane South: 20% off
  • Ivy & Leo: 20% off
  • Mainstream Boutique: 20% off
  • Athleta: 10% off full priced items
