An artist’s touch
A drive through South End or NoDa quickly reveals a strong artistic influence in Queen City culture. Walls and structures citywide display work from Charlotte’s muralists, known for creating both photo-worthy art and spaces dedicated to deeper discussion and change.

Show me the money
The nearly $1 million in new art is made possible through the Opportunity Fund. What’s that? It’s a branch of the Infusion Fund — a public-private partnership combining funds contributed by the city of Charlotte, Foundation For The Carolinas and private donors in a common goal for supporting local arts and cultural organizations.

Sketching the steps
Artists can submit letters of intent (LOIs) between March 6-28. If an artist’s LOI is deemed eligible, they will be invited by email to submit a full proposal with a final proposal budget for further consideration. Grants will be awarded in late June and distributed in July.
