The Queen City will soon welcome “The Piano Man” and “The King of Pain” to the stage — Charlotte Mayor Vi Lyles announced iconic musicians Billy Joel and Sting will perform a dual concert at Bank of America Stadium on Saturday, May 10.
Tickets go on sale Friday, Oct. 4 at 9 a.m. + pre-sales for Citi card members begin Monday, Sept. 30 at 10 a.m.
Charlotte will be the only city either artist will perform in the Southeast in 2025 + marks Sting’s first performance in the Queen City in nearly 20 years.
“We’re a city known for our great quality of life, and our live music ecosystem is a huge driver in our city’s success,” said Grant Lyman, southeast region president of Live Nation.
The announcement marks another laurel in the Queen City’s reputation as a premier arena for A-list talent and economic prosperity.
During 2024, eight of the top 10 most-visited days in Uptown were driven by events held at Bank of America Stadium.
The stadium — home of the Carolina Panthers — will continue to welcome high-profile concerts in the coming year, ahead of its $650 million renovation. Metallica is also scheduled to take the stage next May.
