Are you a foodie looking for some adventure or planning a unique date night? Try ditching the standard menu and trade it in for a multi-course dining experience. Chefs across the Queen City are dishing out local ingredients and small plates for your dining pleasure.

We’ve rounded up several spots for you to sample.

L’Ostrica | $75-175 per person | Wednesday through Saturday, the restaurant serves seasonal tasting menus, plus an a la carte menu, cocktails, and wine. Bonus: On Sundays, savor a casual supper which changes in theme weekly.

Counter- | $100-$225+ per person | This restaurant boasts a seasonal, changing menu without ever repeating a dish.

Sora | $100-$225+ per person | This newly opened restaurant offers a menu inspired by European and Asian dishes, like foie gras, duck confit, and Japanese wagyu beef.

McNinch House Restaurant | $160-$375 per person | Choose from a four-, five, or five-course chef-curated menu with wine pairings for a unique dinner in the historic Victorian-style home named after Charlotte Mayor Sam McNinch.

Aqua e Vino | $45-$105 per person | This Italian-style restaurant serves two tasting-menu lunch options with three courses, and two three-course options for dinner.

Fin & Fino | $70 per person | Order “the treatment” for a tasting experience that serves select menu items and plates not found on the menu.

To deliver a meal just the way the chef envisioned, typically, making changes to these tasting menus isn’t possible. Pro tip: If you have dietary restrictions, call ahead.
