Charlotte City Council is considering contributing an additional $11 million to construct Eastland Yards. Council already allocated $30 million for the sports complex at the former Eastland Mall. European vacation, anyone? Charlotte Douglas International Airport announced nonstop flights via American Airlines to Athens, Greece starting in June 2025. Tickets go on sale Monday, Sept. 9. The seasonal service will run June-September 2025.
