Excitement came fast when we shared upcoming plans for SouthPark’s Symphony Park and The District Exchange in Concord. Now, it’s time to show Cornelius some love.

Space to live

A new era awaits ~20 miles north of Charlotte in downtown Cornelius, as town leaders recently approved a major redevelopment plan called Mill’s Market — a $80 million mixed-use project led by Charlotte-based Highline Partners.

Celebrated as a key part of the Downtown Master Plan, Mill’s Market will bring a five-story apartment building with 239 multi-family units to the corner of Catawba Avenue and Meridian Street in the heart of the Arts District.

Amenities abound

Residents will have access to a pool, courtyard, and a second-story rooftop garden before heading downstairs for a ground-level corner restaurant and 12,000 sqft of retail and commercial space.

It’s not all about taking up space. Development plans include a 6.5-level parking deck with 250+ spaces for residents, businesses, and public use.

Earning your MBA is often credited as a career move — one that increases earning potential by up to 70%.

But it’s also a life investment.

Why? Because the value of a better career doesn’t stop at your paycheck.

More prestigious positions also mean more perks, like remote work opportunities, added flexibility, and, at those rare companies you always hear about, unlimited PTO.

In short, more time for what matters most: Life outside work.

📈 Learn while you earn

Finding time for grad school can be tough — that’s why Wake Forest University’s award-winning MBA program is designed specifically for working professionals who want to level up their careers without hitting pause.

With a variety of learning formats, including:
  • In-person MBA: Structured evening classes in Charlotte or Winston-Salem.
  • Hybrid MBA: Flexible online coursework paired with in-person Saturday sessions.
  • Online MBA: A fully online experience that lets you study from anywhere.
Wake Forest lets you tailor the program to fit your life. In as little as 20 months, you can graduate with in-demand skills, a powerful alumni network, and a new path forward.

Happy Monday, Charlotte! I hope everyone had a fun holiday weekend. I hosted an Easter Sunday dinner party. The best choice I made was snagging a delicious honey ham from The Honey Baked Ham Company on East Woodlawn Road. It made for the perfect holiday meal centerpiece.
