Charlotte-based nonprofit Baby Bundles is hosting its annual Beans & Bundles fundraiser this Friday, Sept. 26. The group works to sort, count, and build bundles for expectant mothers, each containing 40 baby items — think: clothing, bibs, burp cloths, toys, blankets, and books.
Fun Fact: Last year, Beans & Bundles raised more than $200,000 in a single day. This year, they’re on track to distribute 4,000+ bundles in Mecklenburg County.
Here’s how you can help: Livestream Friday’s event, donate online, or make an appointment to drop books or baby bundles off at their warehouse on Arrowridge Road near Ramblewood Park.
Sundown tonight marks the beginning of Rosh Hashanah. The celebration runs until sundown on Wednesday, Sept. 24. Celebrate the new year tonight by attending the Rosh Hashanah Dinner at Chabad of Charlotte.

Recently, I was able to visit Stir in South End to try some of their new menu items. The restaurant recently added items like an 18-oz bone-in ribeye and shrimp scampi to their menu — you may have seen my mention last week. That ribeye melts in your mouth — I highly recommend. Plus, they validate parking up to two hours!
