If you’re looking for local, natural, and carefully sourced meats, The Chop Shop Butchery in Myers Park is worth a visit.
This family-owned spot from Asheville, NC, specializes in top-quality, pasture-raised beef and pork from Western North Carolina (think: no antibiotics, growth hormones, or artificial ingredients). For nine years, locals have voted them the best butcher shop — and now Charlotte can see what all the buzz is about.
The highly anticipated PopUp Bagels will start serving its iconic bagels and schmears at The Bowl at Ballantyne beginning Friday, October 17. The South Charlotte location marks the chain’s first in North Carolina. Another is planned for the Commonwealth in Plaza Midwood — an opening date is TBA. (The Charlotte Observer)

Nuvole Rooftop Twenty Two launched a new fall menu, including bone-in porkchops, salmon sliders, and more.Plus: On Thursdays, they’re offering “Girl Dinner,” which is a Caesar salad, fries, and an espresso martini for $25.

All Charlotte-Mecklenburg Library branches will be closed Monday, Oct. 13 for a staff development event. Don’t fret — the libraries will reopen Tuesday, Oct. 14.

Attention, One Direction fans. Louis Tomlinson will bring his “How Did We Get Here” tour to the Spectrum Center on July 5, 2026. Tickets go on sale Thursday, Oct. 9 at 10 a.m.

The annual Mallard Creek Presbyterian Church BBQ is done. The event, held every October since 1929, welcomed thousands of people to church grounds for barbecue, Brunswick stew, and meet-and-greets with local politicians. (WCNC)

TD Bank signed a 10-year lease for more than 91,000 sqft of office space in the Harris Building in Ballantyne, tripling its office space. The expansion makes room for more than 500 employees and boasts amenities like a grab-and-go café, wellness rooms, and a hospitality suite. The bank is expected to relocate by July 2026.
