During Wednesday’s Public Transit Advisory Committee meeting, Charlotte City Council will be asked to approve terms for a 10-year, $8 million lease of two new residential buildings coming to Eastland Yards. The 16,000-sqft spaces will then be offered at discounted rates to small businesses. We’ll let you know what they decide. (Charlotte Business Journal)

A taste of the Big Easy is gaining popularity across the country, according to the New York Times. The Obituary is a martini made with gin, vermouth, absinthe, and lemon zest, and is experiencing a renaissance. See if you can find one at a local happy hour.

On This Day

On November 10, 1969, the first-ever episode of “Sesame Street” aired. Over the years, many of us have learned and laughed with Elmo, Cookie Monster, Bert + Ernie, and all the other familiar faces. Continue their legacy with a random act of kindness in Charlotte.

The Word

The viral “6-7" trend has made it into the record books — it’s now Dictionary.com‘s Word of the Year for 2025. We don’t understand it, either. What we do understand is our Games section, where not six, not seven, but eight daily options await. (AP News)

This Mansion Monday, we’re getting a taste of Italy, and this Lake Norman home is filled with luxe contemporary allure.

With five beds, five baths, and conveniently located between Charlotte and Mooresville, Villa Bianca is one-of-a-kind. Some of our favorite features include the chef’s gourmet kitchen, private study, personal library, and home movie theater. Did we mention the fully-finished basement?

If that’s not enough, you’ll have over 8,000 sqft indoors and a private dock and lakeside views perfect for a relaxing evening.
Is it worth the price?

The Wrap

Today’s edition by: Maria

I can’t believe one week has passed since my brother’s wedding in sunny Lakeland, FL. While I’m waiting for official photos, I’m happy to share this gem, taken right before the ceremony I officiated! It was a beautiful day full of so much love and I’m so thankful to have been a part of it. BTW, if you get a chance to visit Hollis Garden, I highly recommend.
