🛍️ Shop, dine, have a great time

A Charlotte-area burger joint is joining The District Exchange in downtown Concord — officially wrapping up the hub’s lineup of local eats and shops. Mooresville-based Bae’s Burgers will become an anchor tenant inside the two-story marketplace, joining anchor tenants Crane Coffee Co. and First-N-Flights Taproom & Lounge, which opens Dec. 1.

“It’s a really unique space for businesses and restaurants to be, and we want it to feel like a community,” Kristen Adamczuk, owner of The District Exchange, previously told CLTtoday.

The build out for Bae’s Burgers is anticipated to start in early 2026.

The District Exchange transformed the former Cabarrus Theater and resembles Uptown’s The Alley at Latta Arcade. A grand opening for the fully completed space is expected in early 2026, once Bae’s Burgers’ build-out is complete.

Shoppers can already explore most of the businesses inside — including a vintage music shop, clothing boutiques, and a candy store. When the grand opening date is announced, we’ll let you know.
