Thermal Road in southeast Charlotte is closed for culvert improvements, between Ramath Drive and Pineburr Road — that’s in Stonehaven near Monroe Road. The closure is expected to last until Aug. 21, 2026. (WSOC)

Charlotte City Council approved a $25 million renovation plan for the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Uptown. Improvements include relocating the gift shop and cafe, new security equipment, added event space, and a dedicated area for school groups. The board must vote again in 2026 to approve a construction contract. (The Charlotte Observer)

SHARE Charlotte is hosting its annual Giving Tuesday event at The Pearl tomorrow, Dec. 2. Between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., the community is invited to donate, give goods, or register to volunteer with area nonprofits.
