Editor Maria, here. If you’re the kind of person who loves vintage records, I’ve got just the thing.

Since 2019, Matthews-based Noble Records has built a reputation as a go-to for curated vinyl and deep cuts you won’t find just anywhere. Owner Dillon Smith, an avid collector, started by rescuing records from basements and garages — giving them a second life with fellow music lovers. Now, he’s taken things a step further.

In 2024, Noble Records acquired a massive vinyl collection from Voice of America, the international broadcaster known for preserving music and cultural programming from around the world. The archive includes thousands of records spanning genres, eras, and global influences — including radio pressings from The Beatles, The Ramones, and Barbra Streisand.

Want a piece of music history? Selections from the collection are on sale, perfect for Record Store Day on Saturday, April 18. Happy digging.
