Playing pickleball in Charlotte is no big dill when you check out these local parks and businesses.
The Drinkery
Whether you’re new or looking for other veterans, this is one of the most popular pickleball spots in North Carolina. It offers clinics, private lessons, open play, league play, and events.
Mecklenburg County courts
These courts are mostly free and open, but can also be reserved ahead of time.
- Enderly Park | This park is small, but mighty with two pickeball courts and recently renovated tennis courts.
- Clarks Creek Park | There are eight pickleball courts here, with five for reservations and three for open play.
- Clanton Park | These six courts are first-come, first-serve + feature lights so you can play late into the evening.
- Freedom Park | This park also has six courts for pickleball + its close to local restaurants, restrooms, and other park amenities.
- MLK Park | Say hello to another popular pickleball park that offers six total courts. This one does require a one-time fee, which means many dedicated athletes play here.
- Latta Park | Switch things up on six hybrid courts that have both pickleball and tennis lines. They also feature slightly taller nets.
- Tuckaseegee Park | Just like Latta Park, you can find six hybrid options here.
Pickleball Charlotte
In addition to the locations mentioned below, Pickleball Charlotte will open another location in Northlake (8626 Hankins Rd.) in October.
- Ballantyne | Discover seven indoor courts, six outdoor courts, and two indoor training rooms at this gym.
- Sharon Lakes | Consider this a mecca for pickleball as it has 16 indoor courts + six outdoor.
- Granite Street | If Sharon Lakes is full, try Granite Street which as 14 indoor courts + four outdoor.
Rally
There’s always a competition to join at Rally, which has four indoor courts and four outdoor courts. Pickleballers can sign up for classes, king-of-the-court competitions, and rally ladder challenges.
