The wait’s finally over, Charlotteans. Tipsy Pickle is open for business at Camp North End to welcome pickballers and fun lovers alike.

City Editor Jack, here. I checked out Charlotte’s latest entertainment hub for myself and I was hit with the unmistakable pop of pickleball play the moment I stepped inside the 35,000-sqft space, featuring six courts available for players of all skill levels.

“The reception from Charlotte and the greater area has been amazing,” said Tipsy Pickle’s co-owner Tanner Brooks, who spoke to me about how the idea came to life.

Tipsy Pickle’s concept was developed to meet the growing demand for pickleball courts in Charlotte, with a focus on creating a social gathering space around the sport.

“The core of what we wanted to do was find something that brought people together,” said Brooks, sharing the business model is inspired by TopGolf, where many visitors come for the social experience rather than the sport.

“It feels almost like Walt Disney World a little bit. There’s a lot of things to do,” said co-owner Mike Salzarulo.

The venue is designed to accommodate events from small gatherings to large parties up to 900 people, where guests can explore golf simulators, arcade games, cornhole, and pool tables + massive television screens for watch parties.

It’s not all fun and games. Make sure to also come hungry for the Tex-Mex-inspired menu and extensive drink list.

“There’s a million reasons why you come in here,” said Salzarulo who emphasized the upbeat atmosphere Tipsy Pickle exudes that he hopes will have guests coming back. “There’s people having lunch or just coming to have a happy hour with friends after work, working on their golf game, or getting into a competitive game of pickleball.”

Ready to get “Tipsy”? Tipsy Pickle is open everyday of the week with indoor and outdoor courts now open for play. Reservations are highly recommended with prices ranging between $20-40.
