Camp North End is about to see an art explosion. BOOM Charlotte is a fully-immersive, three-day festival celebrating the arts, performances, and culture of the Queen City.

Fun fact: BOOM Charlotte is actually comprised of two festivals. BOOM Fringe will feature original, edgy, and experimental art in an intimate, indoor setting with ticketed performances created by the featured artists. Expect to visit MacFly, Dupp and Swat, + You VS. Yourself. Tickets are $13 per event.

BOOM Intersection will be around the Boileryard. It’s the free portion of the festival and includes a central stage, interactive installations, + activities. Organizers say this is the epicenter of the festival — artists and the community will come together to enjoy live art.

You can also expect more than two dozen vendors with handmade items for sale like ceramics, jewelry, hand-painted clothing, and more.

BOOM is more than an arts festival. It’s a collaboration with the City of Charlotte. As part of a 10-year plan to support the arts and culture in the city, BOOM and city leaders will host fireside chats with Infusion Grant winners, workshops, and live music at the Arts + Culture space (1801 N. Graham St., Ste. 200) throughout the weekend.
