The Wells Fargo Championship tees off in Charlotte

Tee off with tickets to see some of the best golfers in the world to the Queen City.

A scenic vista in South Charlotte will soon become the stage for some of the biggest names in golf. This week, Quail Hollow Club is hosting the Wells Fargo Championship, a signature event on the PGA Tour schedule. The first round begins Thursday, May 9 + the championship round will conclude Sunday, May 12.

Tickets

  • $50 per day for practice rounds through today + tomorrow.
  • $89 for daily tickets Thursday through Sunday.
  • Kids 15 and younger get in for free with a paying adult.
  • Important note: Tickets are digital. A screenshot of your ticket won’t get you in.

World No. 2 golfer Rory McIlroy has won the Wells Fargo Championship three times in 2010, ’15, and ’21.

The tournament will host 70 of the world’s best golfers, including the world’s No. 2 player Rory McIlroy, looking to reclaim the trophy from defending champion Wyndham Clark. Fans will also see Xander Schauffele, Shane Lowry, Patrick Cantlay, Collin Morikawa, Max Homa, and Tommy Fleetwood all battle for the $3.6 million first place prize.

Editor’s note: World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler is not scheduled to play, due to the impending birth of his first child.

The course at Quail Hallow comes with high stakes. Players must try to navigate the tricky “Green Mile” stretch — with the winner earning 700 FedExCup points.

Parking
Tournament visitors will have official parking options, all with shuttles to and from Quail Hollow Club from 5:30 a.m. until 9 p.m.

  • SouthPark B-Deck (4400 Sharon Rd.)
    • Tickets must be purchased in advance Wednesday through Sunday. They are $25 per day.
  • Carowinds (14523 Carowinds Blvd.)
    • Parking is available Wednesday through Friday and costs $15 per day.
  • Ballantyne Corporate Park (13838 Ballantyne Corporate Pl.)
    • Parking is available Saturday and Sunday for $15 per day.

Events
The party doesn’t stop once guests leave Quail Hollow.

  • There will be concerts at SouthPark’s Symphony Park (4400 Sharon Rd.) from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Thursday and Saturday night. Concert tickets start at $20.
  • Yacht Rock Schooner will headline Thursday + September in the Park will headline Saturday.
