Early voting in North Carolina is now available. Same-day registration is available during the early voting period, which ends Saturday, Nov. 2. In South Carolina, early voting begins Monday, Oct. 21.

Two Charlotte breweries are celebrating after earning medals for their brews during the Great American Beer Festival. Pilot Brewing Co. won gold for its Pub Ale, and Resident Culture won gold in the Pale Non-Alcohol Beer category for its NARC IPA.
