CLTtoday staff here. We receive hundreds of thank you emails every week, and you often ask how to support us. That’s why we’ve created this campaign with a goal to raise $1,000 by the end of the week. If you’ve gotten something out of being subscribed to CLTtoday, like finding that life-changing concert in our Events section, or using our City Guides to plan the perfect way to spend the day with family, we couldn’t be more honored to be a part of your life — and we’re calling on you now to help support our mission.

🎨 You make me wanna SHOUT!
Charlotte SHOUT! has been a reoccurring annual arts festival in Uptown since 2019. | Photo via Charlotte SHOUT!
You certainly won’t want to keep quiet when Charlotte SHOUT! returns to Uptown April 4-20. The annual festival highlights the Queen City’s unique artistic community with more than 200 events and attractions, giving visitors the opportunity to see, feel, think, and discuss.
What’s new this year?
CanStruction — A live competition where engineering and design groups craft sculptures using full cans of food. The food will later be donated to Second Harvest Food Bank.
Queen’s Greens — This reimagined space features nine fully-functional mini golf holes with obstacles designed by local artists.
Oracle — Have fun interacting with larger-than-life inflatable characters chatting with visitors using AI-powered voices.
EdgeFest — Watch local artists create stunning masterpieces using spraypaint.
Mi Casa, Your Casa 2.0 — Tour this vibrant, interactive installation by Esrawe + Cadena featuring glowing red-frame houses with swings.
What’s coming back
Many exhibits are returning that past visitors will probably recognize, including Eggs on Parade, Pianodrome, and E/motion.
The Buy
The Buy
A great dermaplaning razor for unwanted facial hair. This reusable, plastic-free one comes with 11 refill blades and can remove dead skin cells, peach fuzz, and hair on the upper lip, cheeks, and eyebrows.
I had a blast writing our March events guide. The weather gets warmer and so many trees in Uptown and Myers Park transform colors with their white blossoms. Stay tuned for photographs from yours truly when that happens.
