A favorite memory from the past year was covering Charlotte FC’s first home playoff match.

City Editor Maria is our resident Carolina Ascent fanatic, and has loved covering the team’s journey through its inaugural season. She also loved covering this bookstore’s journey to a storefront + writing about the return of Charlotte’s Sustainability Summit.

As for City Editor Jack, he met Emmy-winning screenwriter Erik Jendresen who shared the experience writing the acclaimed HBO World War II series, “Band of Brothers.” He also wrote about the ongoing relief efforts for Western North Carolina and actor Paul Walker’s humanitarian organization, “Reach Out Worldwide.”
