It’s gonna be a rock ‘n’ roll weekend at Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) — Sammy’s Beach Bar & Grill is open to travelers, thanks to a star-studded ribbon-cutting attended by Rock & Roll Hall of Famer, Sammy Hagar.

The full-service restaurant in Concourse D seats 113 people + serves items like quesadillas, nachos, burgers, brisket, and a full cocktail menu. Diners can also marvel at photos and mementos from Hagar’s years on stage as a solo performer and as the frontman for Van Halen.

“Bringing Sammy’s Beach Bar & Grill to Charlotte is all about sharing good times, great food, and a rockin’ playlist with travelers,” said Hagar.

Pro tip: Try the mango margarita — you won’t regret it.

Bonus: Net proceeds from the restaurant at CLT will benefit Levine Children’s Hospital and Hope Street Food Pantry.

Be sure to get comfortable with the airport using this guide to CLT Douglas + grab a seat before boarding a flight.
