Panorama Holdings broke ground on its upcoming 84-unit micro-apartment building in South End. The development at the corner of West Boulevard and Tryon Street is expected to be completed in two and a half years.

Inizio Pizza Napoletana is expanding into Cotswold — becoming its fifth location in Charlotte. The restaurant will serve its signature Neapolitan-style pizza + will have a patio at its new location in the former IHOP. It’s expected to open late in the first quarter of 2026. Care Ring, a primary care center off Graham Street, is now taking clients for its new Two-Generation clinic. The clinic is donation-based + will provide medical care for mothers, babies, and family members. It’s only one of two in the country. (The Charlotte Observer)

Plan Ahead
Tickets are on sale for the premiere of “Fork and Hammer,” a new series spotlighting restaurateurs Jeff Tonidandel and Jamie Brown, the duo behind Ever Andalo, Reigning Doughnuts, and Leluia Hall. The screening will be at Carolina Theatre on Tuesday, Oct. 7 — one week before its nationwide series debuts.

There’s a new art installation welcoming visitors in the Hidden Valley neighborhood. “Responder,” created by international artist Blessing Hancock, was made to mirror a safe and welcoming space someone will find at a firehouse. The new sculpture marks the space for Charlotte Fire’s new firehouse, which is under construction. (WCNC)

“Gabby’s Dollhouse” is heading to Discovery Place Science on Sunday, Aug. 24. The Meowseum Discovery Day will feature a meet + greet, storytime, a scavenger hunt, and art activities. After that, visit CAMP at SouthPark Mall starting Wednesday, Sept. 24, to check out a “Gabby’s"-themed immersive world.

A slam dunk for Carmel Christian School’s Bryce Slay. The star basketball player and son of former NBA player Tamar Slay, signed a Name, Image, Likeness (NIL) endorsement deal with College HUNKS Hauling Junk and Moving, making him one of the first graduates to get an NIL deal in Charlotte. (WCNC)
