A message from our team

It’s 6AM somewhere — in fact, if you’re reading this at 9 a.m. local time, it’s 6 a.m. in our sister market SEAtoday. Which brings us to our main point: Did you know there are newsletters just like CLTtoday across the country, providing the same need-to-know local news and events for their communities?

From sharing live music venues in Portland, OR to reporting on new developments in Greenville, SC, our company works hard to be local, everywhere. Support our mission.

Job announcements in the Queen City are at a record pace according to Mecklenburg County, and two new announcements just joined the lineup.

Global shipping giant Maersk announced it is bringing its headquarters to South Charlotte, creating 520 jobs and investing $16 million into the city by 2027.

The Denmark-based company has operated in Ayrsley since 2006, but it will now designate that campus as its North American headquarters, with plans to grow its local workforce to 1,300+ employees. The expansion includes roles in finance, tech, and HR, with average salaries over $100,000.
