A new wellness studio has entered the chat.Pause Studio, a nationwide recovery-focused wellness brand, is now open at the Arboretum on Providence Road — marking the destination’s first location in the Carolinas.
“We started looking at different health, wellness, and lifestyle science-backed models, and this one totally spoke to us,” Co-owner and Charlotte resident Keith Fox told CLTtoday. “We tried everything — cryotherapy, the sauna. They’re all good in different ways.”
The studio offers a menu of treatments designed to help guests relax, recharge, and recover, including infrared saunas, contrast therapy, float therapy, cryotherapy, compression therapy, and IV drips by an on-staff nurse.
A grand opening is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 10, and services can be booked a la carte or through memberships — pricing starts at $35. Bonus: Packages are 50% off through opening day. Which will you try first?
Start your day on a sweet note. The Salty Donut is now open at Commonwealth in Plaza Midwood. The shop marks its third location in the Queen City, selling freshly baked goods daily.

It’s official. Exit 30 on I-77 has officially been named after Davidson alum and professional basketball star Steph Curry. The town and college held an unveiling during a recent game at the college. Curry posted on Instagram, sharing, “You see this sign, remember to dream big, and keep the gratitude the whole way.”
