Do you hear that? That’s the sizzling sound of fajitas coming from Casa Azteca, a Moorevsville-based Mexican-inspired restaurant that’s opening a second location in Uptown this spring.
“We’re very excited to bring our Mexican cuisine down to Uptown,” General Manager Jose Maria told CLTtoday. “We’ve been in the area for around 30 years, and we can’t wait for guests to feel like they’re home in Uptown.”
The restaurant along West Trade Street — the former King’s Kitchen space — will feature vibrant decor, a mural of Miss Universe Fatima Bosch by artist Ben Keller, and multiple TV screens for game days.
As for the menu, expect to order specialty items like picanha langosta (lobster tail), skirt steak, handmade corn and flour tortillas, and enchiladas.

There’s a lot of excitement following Levine Museum of the New South’s news about its new campus coming to South End. While the space will be new, the museum will continue to explore the post-Civil War times to present day — something 53% of readers guessed correctly.
