Clothing company Forever 21 is the latest in a recent string of chain retailer bankruptcies. The company is expected to “wind down” its US stores while searching for a buyer for its remaining assets. Of course, you can still pretend you’re forever 21 by grabbing a drink at Suffolk Punch Brewing in SouthPark or South End. (USA Today)
Drink
It’s 5 o’clock somewhere. The average workday now ends at 4:39 p.m., according to recent data from ActivTrak that tracked the workplace behaviors of 200,000+ employees. Sounds like 21 more minutes for an after-work drink to us. (Bloomberg)
Seasonal
This Thursday marked the beginning of spring, when the sun set at 7:35 p.m., but there are sunnier days ahead in Charlotte. Sunsets will happen a little later each day this season, and when summer starts on Friday, June 20 the sun will go down at 8:41 p.m.
Tech
TikTok is introducing new ways to encourage kids to log off, like a meditation feature if users under 16 are using the app after 10 p.m. If it works it works, but have you tried touching grass?

Buckle up, we’re going on a cruise around the Queen City’s breweries. Beyond the brews, these spaces are central to Charlotte’s social scene, with venues featuring live music, food trucks, weekly trivia, and charitable events.
High Branch Brewing Co. | High Branch was founded in November 2015 and was the first operating brewery in Concord. Expect to find a range of ciders, lagers, and IPAs.
Legion Brewing | Known by many as “Legion,” the brewery features $5 pints daily at their Morehead and Plaza taprooms + a food menu featuring flatbreads, wings, and more.

NoDa Brewing Company | This taproom is proud to call Charlotte home — decorated with items from local artists, you’ll be surrounded by talent while ordering Hop Drop and Roll or a seasonal favorite.
Olay Super Cream with sunscreen. The tried-and-true cream boasts better hydrating power than the no. 1 luxury moisturizer on the market — plus, it plumps, firms, and protects skin, making it a great daytime moisturizer to wear alone or under makeup.
Craving a spring photo shoot? It’s hard to beat the cherry blossoms at Romare Bearden Park in Uptown that are now in full bloom. Don’t wait — and make sure to see them before they’re gone.
