Open

Sweetgreen’s second Charlotte-area location is officially open at Birkdale Village. Unlike its Uptown counterpart, the Birkdale eatery does not have indoor seating. Rather, it features a walk-up order counter and boasts plenty of outdoor seating.

Announced

Red Bird Thread Co., a sewing shop offering curated fabrics, accessories, craft kits, and sewing classes, is opening at the District Exchange in Concord. Crane Coffee will also be found at the new destination. Opening dates are expected soon.

Rock n’ roll Hall of Famer Sammy Hagar’s newest Sammy’s Beach Bar & Grill restaurant will open this summer at Charlotte Douglas International Airport. The full-service restaurant in Concourse D will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner with beach vibes.
