Raise a glass to the Queen City’s craft beer community as Charlotte Craft Beer Week returns Oct. 17-26.
This 10-day celebration of the people who keep Charlotte’s craft beer scene flowing is hopping with special offers and events from local breweries, beer shops, restaurants, and more.
Getting yours is easy: Just sign up, receive your passport, then check in at participating breweries to earn points toward merch, brewery swag, and more.

Pour with a Purpose | Oct. 22 | Wooden Robot’s Cosmic Ballet helles lager returns, plus a special toast to one of Charlotte’s most beloved brewers, Dan Wade. Proceeds benefit the Dan Wade Memorial Scholarship.

Winston-Salem is teeming with wickedly fun things to do this month. As a hot spot for history, local legends, and ghost tours, October is one of the best times to visit.

The Charlotte Mecklenburg Library coming to Uptown has hit its construction midpoint. The $137 million main branch is anticipated to open in spring 2027, and boast six outdoor spaces, a second-floor terrace, immersive theaters, meeting spaces, and a revamped archive space. (WCNC)

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools’ School Choice lottery is open for the 2026–27 school year. The lottery gives families the chance to apply for magnet and specialized programs district-wide. Applications are open through Friday. Dec. 5. (WCNC)

Wholistic Rebirth, a new massage studio, will open at Camp North End on Tuesday, Nov. 11. The studio will be at the Kindship apartments and will offer individual massage sessions, couples massages, four-hand treatments, and memberships.

The Hornets unveiled new menu items ahead of the 2025-26 season at the revamped Spectrum Center — think: porchetta sandwiches, falafel bowls, and a house-smoked barbecue quesadilla. The new bites can be found at the Lunazul North District and The South District within the Belk Concourse, plus local bites from Amelie’s, Bruster’s Ice Cream, and Knowledge Perk Coffee will also be available.
