Building expectations
The one-stop shop along Morehead Square Drive promises to be a community hub serving “elevated Americana cuisine” from locally-sourced ingredients, plus drinks, 100+ events, and entertainment.
“Events include live trivia, karaoke, music bingo, live music, watch parties, and more,” Josh Willoughby, Co-owner and CEO of Market on Main, told CLTtoday.
Sports fans, pay attention. Catch your favorite teams on the 25-ft jumbotron outside, indoor and outdoor stages, and a pet-friendly patio — all within walking distance of Bank of America Stadium.
Mecklenburg County Public Health is offering walk-in services for the measles vaccine after measles was detected in a county wastewater sample and amid an outbreak in South Carolina. Officials say no cases have been reported in the county. (WCNC)

The new I-485 ramps at Weddington Road are open in Matthews. Prior to this exit, there was no way to enter or leave the interstate. As for the new express toll lanes, NCDOT is targeting a February opening. (WBTV)

Sugar Creek Brewing and restaurant veteran Martin Sprock purchased the former Cavendish Brewing site in Gastonia, which closed last week. Sugar Creek and Sprock plan to open a new taproom, barbecue restaurant, and production facility, with a distillery planned for the future. An opening timeline is TBA. (Charlotte Business Journal)
