Construction begins on second tower of Queensbridge Collective building

The new development along South Tryon Street is slated to become the second-tallest residential building and eighth-tallest tower in the Queen City, and offer retail, dining, and office space.

Talk about dining with a view. Guard and Grace will be located on the 10th floor of the upcoming Queensbridge Collective high-rise in South End.

Construction is set to start on the second tower of the Queensbridge Collective development, the ever-growing tower along South Tryon Street just outside of Uptown. The $700 million mixed-use development will bridge Uptown and South End and become a major hub for living, working, and dining in the city’s urban core.

The plans

The project broke ground in 2023, with the structural framework on the first tower wrapping in February. The 42-story tower, known as The Vivian, will feature luxury apartments, retail space, and a rooftop pool — and it’s set to be completed this year, becoming the second-tallest residential building in Charlotte.

The second tower will take things to another level. Standing 43 stories tall, the building will combine office space — including the future headquarters of Moore & Van Allen PLLC — with 346 luxury multifamily units. Expect sleek architecture, skyline views, and integrated retail when it’s completed in 2028.

On site, Queensbridge Collective will also boast an acre of outdoor green space, parking, a fitness center, meeting and event space, and a rooftop terrace.

Upcoming eats

Night Swim Coffee and fast-casual restaurant FARE is opening later this year + Guard and Grace, a Michelin Star-recommended steakhouse, is slated to open at Queensbridge Collective in mid-2026. Psst... We spoke with the owner about the upcoming restaurant.
