You’ve likely heard of pop-up shops, but have you heard of a pop-up drinkery? Meet Ramble — Charlotte’s roaming pop-up bar. Created by a team of three bartenders, they collaborate with local chefs and small businesses to provide new flavors to the Queen City.

“We wanted to bring a fun flavor to the summer,” said Larry Suggs, one of the co-founders. “It has been really successful so far.”

Since the first pop-up in May, they’ve organized events like a bartender battle called ‘Let’s Get Ready to Ramble,’ collaborations with restaurants like L’Ostrica and CustomShop, and a Myrtle Beach-themed cookout.

“Each event we do is completely different as far as cocktails, the vibe, even down to the music or the lighting,” added Suggs. “We’re in the business of creating experiences for people.”

From the garnishes to the ice, each ingredient in Ramble’s cocktails are methodically chosen to fit the theme of each residency.

Currently, the traveling bar has yet to announce its latest residency of the summer. If you’re looking to try their creations, time is ticking.

“Our runway right now is to the very end of the summer, like late-August. We’ll see where it goes from there,” said Suggs. “We’d like to eventually have a brick and mortar, possibly under a different name.”

The best way to find Ramble is to follow on social media and on Tock, where it will announce upcoming residencies.
