Charlotte City Council approved funding to revitalize the historic Excelsior Club. Council approved $1.5 to redevelop the music and culture venue, as part of the $7.8 million redevelopment plan presented last month. Construction could begin in the second half of 2028. (WCNC)

TM Wesmoreland & Sons Farm sold a 200-acre piece of farmland to Shea Homes. The land was previously considered for the proposed Lagoona Bay Beach Club in 2023 — a project that did not move forward. Plans for the grain and beef farm have not been disclosed. (WCNC)

I checked out Pizza Baby in Elizabeth earlier this year before heading to an Anthem RC rugby match and ordered two “Roman-style” pizzas: the rosemary and a seasonal pie that had pear slices. Both pizzas were absolutely delicious.
