As All Hallows Eve approaches, ghost tours are boo-king fast. Queen City residents and visitors are spending the evening hours learning — and getting scared — by the history of Charlotte’s ghosts.
Whether you believe in the supernatural or want to learn more about the city’s haunted stories, there are several tours ready to give you the 4-1-1.
Queen City Ghosts | $25 | Travel through Old Settler’s Cemetery to learn about some of the Queen City’s most notorious ghosts, like “Devil Charlie.”
Carolina Haunts and History | $15+ | Take a guided walking tour in Uptown via lantern light, visiting several landmarks and sites where departed inhabitants are said to linger.
Funny Bus Halloween Tours | $35+ | This tour through the Queen City is all about the funny, not the frights — enjoy a mix of haunted stories, seasonal trivia, and surprise drop-ins from Beetlejuice and Wednesday Addams.
Uptown’s Carolina Theatre is said to be haunted. What’s the ghost’s name and what do they do?
A. Bill — he laughs while in the wings. B. Daniel — he slams doors shut. C. Fred — he makes lights flicker. D. Mary — she moves makeup in the dressing rooms.
An ultrasonic jewelry cleaner with cleaning solution. It features high frequency technology + multiple settings to remove dirt and grease from your jewelry, glasses, watches, and more — all for under $50.

Folia, a popular cocktail bar led by mixologist Bob Peters in South End, launched new bowls and cocktails for the fall season. My faves were the “anything but pumpkin spice” and “pirate’s pear” cocktails. Food wise, don’t sleep on the Cuban barbecue or the Nikkei bowls. Keep an eye on our Instagram for a full preview.
