One of the most lovable things about Charlotte is the distinct character found in each neighborhood, district, and corner of town. They all have their own personalities and purposes — some would say it was written in the stars. Let’s take a look at how our neighborhoods align with the zodiac signs.

Aquarius: NoDa | Jan. 20- Feb. 18

The unique businesses of NoDa embody the eclectic nature of an Aquarius. For breakfast, start with a fresh bite from Reigning Doughnuts before partaking in an art walk along N. Davidson Street. Be sure to stop in Amélie’s for a macaron and coffee. In the evenings, check out local artists performing at The Evening Muse.

Pisces: Plaza Midwood | Feb. 19-March 20

The historic Plaza Midwood provides the perfect escapist moment for a Pisces to relax — preferably with a delicious coffee from Central Coffee. Being an introvert, this sign needs a quaint spot to recharge the social battery — and where else would we find this creative, artsy sign other than the neighborhood with a healthy tree canopy, community gardens, and ample walkable space?

Aries: South End | March 21-April 19

Known as the passionate and confident leader of the zodiac, an Aries would feel right at home in South End. Many Charlotte area-based businesses, like Lowe’s and LendingTree, have corporate offices in the Design District along Camden Rd. The established Rail Trail provides a thriving lifeline into the heart of Charlotte.

Taurus: Myers Park | April 20-May 20

As a lover of loyalty, a Taurus will feel right at home in Myers Park. Queen Road West is lined with a tree canopy more than 100 years old and provides access to Charlotte’s oldest nature museum. The mansion-lined streets provide a picturesque drive with ample space for walkers, cyclists, and access to Freedom Park.

Gemini: University City | May 21-June 20

The extroverted nature of a Gemini means they tend to get along with all kinds of people — similar to University City. Spend an afternoon at Reedy Creek Nature Center + enjoy a nice brew and food trucks from Armored Cow Brewing Co.

Cancer: Dilworth | June 21-July 22

The sentimental and gentle nature of this sign is the perfect match for the oldest suburb in Charlotte, which was first established in 1891. The historic neighborhood nods to history with older homes, welcomes new development, and provides easy access to Center City.

Leo: Steele Creek | July 23-Aug. 22

Steele Creek neighborhood is a perfect fit for the welcoming and proud nature a Leo embodies. It’s one of the first neighborhoods to welcome you when crossing the NC/SC border. In fact, you can stand at the point of convergence while spending the day at Carowinds. The neighborhood boasts scenic views of Lake Wylie and is a beacon for new business.

Virgo: Ballantyne | Aug. 23-Sept. 22

This earth sign has practical and grounded qualities, making Ballantyne a perfect fit. With its growing greenway access and bustling business centers, this neighborhood brings chill vibes + is working to provide an entertainment hub of its very own.

Libra: Elizabeth | Sept. 23-Oct. 22

Elizabeth’s active yet small-town nature is just as balanced as a Libra. With its trendy restaurant scene featuring The Crunkleton, long-standing favorite Lupie’s Cafe, and access to Bojangles’ Coliseum, this quirky yet calm part of Charlotte suits this air sign.

Scorpio: Cornelius | Oct. 23-Nov. 21

The aura of Cornelius’ picturesque waterfront perfectly encapsulates this water sign. It serves as a hot spot for boaters on Lake Norman + provides a lakefront view for businesses like Hello, Sailor.

Sagittarius: Concord | Nov. 22-Dec. 21

An adventure seeking Sagittarius can make a speedy getaway from Concord with the closest access to I-85. Tap into your inner racer by attending a race at Charlotte Motor Speedway or wander the state’s largest retail destination, Concord Mills.

Capricorn: Uptown | Dec. 22- Jan. 19

The hardworking Capricorn will be pleased to learn there are plenty of spots in Uptown to work remotely, network, and take a break. Enjoy coffee at Queen City Grounds, take a walk to The Green, or pop into Monarch Market for lunch. To close a night out, enjoy a nightcap at Sophia’s Lounge or a dessert cocktail at Crave.
