As we all know, the real estate market in Charlotte can be quite a wild ride. Our city is full of economic opportunity, new development, great restaurants, hip music venues + fun cultural events. (And lets be honest — it’s easy on the eyes.)

But when it comes to apartments, sorting through what’s affordable and what’s near social hot spots can feel overwhelming. Let’s look at some numbers:

Opening

Concord-based Classy Scoops Ice Cream Lounge will open a second location today at the University City Boulevard Parking Deck along North Tryon Street. Satisfy your sweet tooth with rolled ice cream, boba tea, and milkshakes. We can’t wait to get a cup soon. (The Charlotte Observer)

Shop

Dolce & Gabbana will open its first NC shop at SouthPark Mall. The luxury brand known for its silks, apparel, and accessories will be next to Gucci, in the former Tommy Bahama space. An exact opening date remains TBA. (Charlotte Business Journal)

Live Nation is partnering with Tepper Sports & Entertainment (TSE) for the new indoor music venue coming near Bank of America Stadium. Construction on the entertainment spot is expected to start in 2027. (WCNC)

Mecklenburg County Public Health is encouraging parents to keep their children up to date on vaccinations, especially the Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR) vaccine. The recommendation comes amid an outbreak in Spartanburg County, SC. Check out local vaccine clinics.

Tonight’s the night. The Charlotte Checkers will take the ice at Bojangles Coliseum to kick off the 2025-2026 season. They’ll play the Iowa Wild, with the face-off scheduled for 7 p.m.
