Charlotte FC to kick off its 2024 season

The Crown welcomes New York FC to Bank of America Stadium for the first time this year.

Charlotte FC kicks off their 2024 season at Bank of America this weekend when they host New York City FC. If you’re hoping to attend your first game like City Editor Maria, we have you covered.

When does the fun begin?
The match begins at 7:30 p.m., but you’ll want to arrive early for pre-game festivities. Nearby parking lots open at 4 p.m. The tailgater’s lot opens at 3:30 p.m.

Enjoy live music, meet Minty (Charlotte FC’s mascot) and grab team wear from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. outside the North Gate of Bank of America Stadium at Legends Row.

Watch the team warm up before kickoff and enjoy the pre-match show starting at 7:20 p.m.

Be prepared to sing the National Anthem. It’s now a tradition after the mic mishap at Charlotte FC’s debut game in 2022.

BoA Stadium requires guests to have clear bags on hand. Banners and signs are allowed and must be related to the event.

If you can’t attend in person, the match will be airing on Apple TV, but you’ll need the MLS Season Pass to watch.
