📺 TV... but make it Charlotte

If you’re into popular shows, chances are you’ve seen “The Bear,” which recently debuted its fourth season. For those who don’t know, “The Bear” follows Chef Carmen, who takes over his brother’s Chicago dive restaurant and then decides to make it a Michelin star-winning spot.
We got to thinking… if chefs from the hit Hulu show lived in Charlotte, where would they work? Here’s what we came up with.
Chef Carmen (aka Carmy) | Counter-
Carmy’s fine-dining experience and ability to push the envelope immediately made us think of Counter-. He and Chef Sam Hart could collab on some fabulous dishes.
Chef Bettina (aka Tina) | Supperland
Chef Tina starts off begrudging change, but eventually she realizes she loves to cook and wants to learn. We think she would enjoy working at Supperland — plus, owners Jeff Tonidandel and Jamie Brown have a passion for empowering their staff for a full career in the culinary industry.
Did we get it right, or are we totally off? Let us know.

South Mountains State Park in Burke County offers prominent hiking trails 60 miles outside Charlotte. | Photo by CLTtoday
Looks like we have lots of nature enthusiasts ready to hit the trails. When asked about a favorite hike, it was a tie — 25% of people said Crowders or Pisgah were the top choice, followed by the Whitewater Center, and South Mountains State Park.
I’ll admit, I’m not a huge hiker... however, one of my favorite memories is taking two of our dogs up to DuPont State Recreational Forest and having a picnic by Lake Julia. It was a Top-10 Saturday in my book.
