Charlotte tennis fans will be served a star-studded event in the heart of Uptown. Mark your calendars for the Charlotte Invitational — an all-new, premier tennis exhibition coming to the Spectrum Center on Friday, Dec. 6. Some of tennis’ biggest names will take the court for the double-header event:

  • Madison Keys vs. Sloane Stephens
  • Frances Tiafoe vs. Carlos Alcaraz — the No. 3 ranked player in the world

“I am appreciative for the opportunity to compete in the Charlotte Invitational this December,” said Alcaraz, who recently won the French Open and looks to defend his title at Wimbledon. “Fans can expect an incredible night and we look forward to providing an unforgettable experience for all in attendance.”

“All eyes will be on Charlotte as some of the biggest names in tennis face off in an event unlike any other,” said Danny Morrison, executive director for The Charlotte Sports Foundation (CSF). Launched in 2013, CSF aims to provide leadership for sports-based initiatives for economic growth and higher quality of life for the Charlotte region. CSF’s portfolio includes the Duke’s Mayo Bowl.

“Expect unparalleled, elevated hospitality that only the Queen City can provide and, of course, elite competition in a sport that’s captivated the world,” said Morrison.
