Uptown prepares for Duke’s Mayo Classic, Wake Forest and Notre Dame to face-off in 2027

Duke’s Mayo’s annual college football series is expected to draw more than 70,000 people to Bank of America Stadium.

BofA Stadium will welcome college football and mayo fans for the Duke’s Mayo Classic in August.

It feels like just yesterday Virginia Tech Hokies and the Minnesota Golden Gophers faced off in the Duke’s Mayo Bowl. Now, all eyes are on Bank of America Stadium for this year’s Duke’s Mayo Classic matchup on Saturday, Aug. 29.

Charlotte Sports Foundation recently announced Wake Forest and Notre Dame will play for the coveted Duke’s Mayo bath in 2027, and future Duke’s Mayo Classics are ready on the sidelines.
