Proof that Breast Cancer Awareness Month is working: We all know how critical mammograms are in detecting breast cancer early. The challenge that remains: Ensuring we are actually proactive about our health by getting that mammogram scheduled.

For Charlotte residents, Novant Health just made this life-saving diagnosis tool even more accessible by opening the new Novant Health Agnes Binder Weisiger Breast Health Center Lillington.

Here are five things to know about the new facility:

  1. The 13,500-sqft center redefines the annual mammogram experience by creating a spa-like ambiance + local artwork for a comfortable visit.
  2. The modern facility is equipped with the latest technology + expert technologists.
  3. Scheduling is easy, with online, phone, or walk-in appointments available.
  4. The new center is largely made possible by retired nurse Agnes Weisiger (for very personal reasonssee her story).
  5. Parking is free + convenient and appointments often take less than 30 minutes.
